:-) Regarding the rooms - yes, the furnishings can be dated, scuffed, stained, what have you. If we go back home with more $$ than we came in with, we consider THAT amazing. If we win a number of $100, $200, $300 pots, but end up "putting it back," we consider that a win. Do we win every time? No, but the experience is fun, and we usually win/lose enough throughout our visit to keep us playing long enough to enjoy the game. lol We've won some really nice jackpots, and have witnessed many more. Not allowed, at least not in California tribal casinos, can only use a machine "dealer." And I like to say it's called "gambling" for reason, otherwise it would be called "sure bet." If you "expect" to win, it would be best to choose a different activity. For those that may complain about the lack of "real" craps or roulette, again Google it. I think they rent them, no? They often have a mid-week happy hour that runs M-Th all the way from 11am-11pm, $3 wine, beer, I think maybe even well drinks. They seem to change out the machines pretty frequently though, so if you find a favorite, it may be gone the next time you go. Regarding gambling - the casino is lovely, and there are lots of machines, a great center bar with video poker, a real good variety. But they have always treated us well as far as comps go, the best of any Indian casinos we've been to, mostly in Northern California. We have had many different rooms/suites, have eaten in all the restaurants, and have played in the casino many, many times. We have always enjoyed coming to Chukchansi, both before the crazy shutdown (Google it) and after.
